Rare Crafting Materials - Guild Wars Forums

Ok, I have a few items , Minitaurs horn, ect... that sayds it is a rare crafting material... what the ____ do i do with it? selling it wouldnt get much cash to a vender. I cannot salvage it. What good is it really? I know it would go to something, but I have no ideal what.

i mean when salvaging it, use the expert salvage kit though u may get a rune or somethin

maybe u need to identify it though also...? before u can salvage it and all, im not sure something to try next beta, or u could just try and sell it for money : )[/COLOR]

you would get 1 gold i think

that might be one of those leftover drops that were removed

What's it worth?
nothing, it just takes up inventory space

What can I do with it?
sell it to a vendor or trick someone into buying it....don't expect anything more then one or two gold.....

Why do they have it in GW then?
well, its like any other crafting material, with the exception that you can't use it to craft anything, so either they haven't opened up the area where you can use it to craft stuff, or its still left over from past Betas and hasnt been deleted out of the system (that is one reason for a wipe, to reset all the erroneous items)

Now, some materials may seem like they do something, but sometimes some of the items can be given to certain people (like for a side quest) in which you can get gold, or some other item in return...

I have been playing it every time. Both FFA weekends and all of the BWE's except the first one. This time, was the first time, that I had seen the items. There were others, but the Minataur Horn was one that I do remember. It might be a side quest of someone I havent met yet, but the items were only worth 1gp each. I would like the room, but as soon as I get rid of it, I will need it.
I belive I used an expert salvage kit on it, but I could have been mistaken. I do know, trying to get another bag is a no-go.
Also thanks for the help and info. The web site is very informative and helpful.
Next BWE i will list what usless items i have. Maybe someone can use them in their quests.
